What you’ll be doing day to day

Working with the HR Operations team as part of our Peoplepoint team in the Dublin support office you will provide HR/ER advice, guidance and information to line managers, employees and external bodies mainly through telephone and email contact and some face-to face liaison and written correspondence. You will support the delivery of various HR reporting activities and you’ll take responsibility for ensuring that all our calls are logged in our Case Management System and you’ll liaise with the ER Partner on specific escalated cases.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with the Employment Relations Partner to develop more advanced employee relations skills and spend some time on projects and development work e.g. designing processes and line manager guidance tools to support continuous improvement.

You’ll lead Policy for Boots Ireland creating and updating policy documentation, manager guidance and online resources. You’ll be up to date on the most recent employment legislation and company policy and interpret and communicate effectively to managers and team members.
You’ll maintain and develop our policy framework across all people related activity covering the entire employee lifecycle and supports our business and culture.

You’ll maintain legal compliance, delivering policies and guidance which promotes a positive and fair culture within the business. You’ll work closely with the wider HR team in the creation and communication of policy.

How will you do it?

As a key member of the HR Operations team, you will provide support and subject expertise on our internal information systems and oversee and liaise with Boots stores, support office and key internal and external stakeholders and key contacts. You’ll bring your HR/ER knowledge and attention to detail to ensuring that the correct application of Boots policies and procedures are adhered to along with your ability to analyse / compile data and utilise your excellent report writing and policy creation skills.

You’ll have ER/HR experience in an ER Advisor or Policy Manager capacity or similar role, an in-depth knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems, pertaining to general HR practices and principles and demonstrate excellent excel, numeracy and verification skills. You’ll also have both strong interpersonal and time management skills along with the ability to understand and assess people information and reports. You’ll be confident in your up to date knowledge of current and upcoming ER legislation with a strong ability to interpret and communicate key information.
