What you'll be doing
We are excited to offer a newly created opportunity within the Boots Opticians Finance team: Senior Finance Analyst – Portfolio, reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Franchise.
You will support a range of strategic projects across the Boots Opticians store portfolio. You'll work with project leads across the Franchise and Property teams, providing high‑quality financial analysis. You will sit within the Business Partnering function, but you'll collaborate with FP&A and Controllership teams.
Key responsibilities
· Deliver high‑quality financial analysis and insight on proposed portfolio changes, including store performance analysis, business case reviews and development of decision trees.
· Prepare board papers and build financial models to support portfolio movement proposals.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and the three‑year planning process for portfolio initiatives.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships across Finance and key Business Partners.
· Work with senior stakeholders to plan and deliver key projects at pace.
· Guide ongoing automation, simplification, and continuous improvement across processes and reporting.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
· Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
· Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of different audiences.
· Ability to build effective relationships with Partners.
· Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and managing competing priorities.
· Knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential.
