We're looking for an IT Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of technology-enabled operational services and business-critical projects across our stores, pharmacy and support functions, ensuring our systems and services are reliable, secure and fit for the future.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll work closely with local stakeholders, Group IT teams and third-party suppliers to maintain service performance, manage incidents, drive continuous improvement and reduce operational risk. This role may require travel to Boots Ireland locations nationwide and occasional travel to Boots UK Support Office in Nottingham.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of IT operations and business change initiatives across Boots Ireland, ensuring reliable and effective technology services.
- Manage incidents, operational escalations and service performance issues.
- Partner with Group IT teams, business stakeholders and suppliers to maintain high service standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, governance and service performance.
- Lead cross-functional projects and operational workstreams, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and business objectives.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance service resilience, operational efficiency and business performance.
- Use operational data and insights to support decision-making, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading operational delivery, service management, business change or project implementation within a retail, customer-facing or complex operational environment.
- Experience managing suppliers, third-party partners and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage operational challenges, incidents and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyse performance, identify improvement opportunities and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Experience leading teams, projects or workstreams and delivering results through others.
- A proactive approach focused on service excellence, operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Full driving licence.
