What you’ll be doing
Working closely with a range of internal stakeholders, you will support projects focused on EPOS systems, store operational processes and in-store technology. You will be responsible for helping to ensure new systems and technologies are fit for purpose through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), while also supporting effective communication and change management activities. In this role, you will:
- Support IT and business teams by working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to identify and deliver process improvements and simplification opportunities.
- Carry out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new software, system enhancements and hardware developments.
- Support the development and execution of readiness and communication plans to ensure successful implementation of changes across stores and field teams.
- Assist with project delivery activities, including planning, documentation and reporting progress to project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and evaluate future development and improvement opportunities.
- Analyse store transaction data and provide recommendations to support future cash management and till allocation strategies.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Proven experience in operations or process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
It would be great if you also have
- A strong understanding of retail store operations and processes.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across a broad range of teams and stakeholders.
- Confidence in influencing others, driving collaboration and delivering results.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach, with a passion for identifying opportunities, solving problems and improving store experiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience in Project Management and/or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Process mapping experience.
- Previous Boots store experience.
- Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
