About the role

We are looking for a Product Owner to join the Platform Engineering team in Integration Centre of Expertise to lead the requirement gathering, delivery of our roadmap and manage prioritisation of the backlog by managing the scrum ceremony. It will ensure the relevant governance and process is in place for new releases and work with business stakeholders to deliver improvements. As Product Owner, you will be the primary contact for our internal and external teams and partner.

Sitting in our head office in Nottingham you'll ensure that project management processes are followed and standardising documentation across projects.

Key responsibilities

  • As an important member of the team, you will oversee the delivery roadmap including prioritisation of backlog of issues ensuring remediation and delivery.

  • Manage interaction with our partners ensuring tracking of development resources and relationship oversight.

  • Facilitate provision of information to support roadmap including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation and support / training

  • Provide leadership in ensuring delivery against time, budget and requirements. This includes, where required, management of different resources both within and outside of the Boots business. This will also include driving through process and business change to support improvement and business growth

  • Maintain project governance & status updates

What you'll need to have

  • Previous experience in a Product Owner role

  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including external partners

  • Stakeholder management skills with an ability to build relationships and influence

  • You'll need to be resilient in the face of challenges, and care and support others within the team

  • Understanding of Microservices, API call, even streaming technologies.

  • Expertise in multiple project delivery methodologies and processes (including waterfall and agile)

  • Experience of project management systems e.g. Jira, MS Project, Keyed In, Azure DevOps)
