Are you passionate about customer care and delivering Healthcare services? We are looking for team members who are passionate about Healthcare that are keen to learn a new skill and help deliver our earwax removal service to the local community.
About the role
You will go through specialist training to understand how to complete the ear wax removal process. Your role will be to greet customers, verify their details, complete an ear health questionnaire with the customer, look inside the ear(s) using a camera, and then to use specialist micro-suction equipment to gently remove ear wax from the customer’s ear(s) to improve their hearing.

This role requires the successful candidate to complete a Pre-employment check after receiving an offer. Depending on your location you will be asked to submit either a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service), PVG (Protection of Vulnerable groups) or an Access NI Check.

About the role

You will complete our healthcare training programme to enable you to advise customers with their healthcare needs and will also:
- Greet customers and verifying their details
- Manage the appointment booking process
- Explain the earwax removal procedure to customers
- Remove earwax following current guidelines
- Record clear and accurate medical notes
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and follow health and safety standards
- Order and maintain stock
- Work with wider healthcare professionals (e.g. audiologists and GPs) to escalate queries and signpost into other healthcare services
- You will go on the Healthcare Advisor Programme and support future Pharmacy Services in-store
What you’ll need to have
These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
- Five GCSEs or equivalent
- A passion for customer care and working in Healthcare
- Able to deal kindly and sensitively with anxious / distressed people
- Communicate and listen effectively
- Passion and energy to deliver excellent patient care
- Able to respond to changing work force demand and service needs
- Digitally savvy and comfortable using a smartphone and navigating technology
- Prepared to learn and motivated to complete a Healthcare training programme (NVQ2 or equivalent)
