Pharmacy Support Roles

By working in a Pharmacy Dispenser job, you’ll listen and advise customers on over the counter medicines, help patients to manage their prescriptions and support the whole pharmacy team with the efficient running of the dispensary. When you join us in one of these roles, we will provide you with continuous professional development, alongside the support and training you need (some of these roles require you to have achieved a relevant professional qualification and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council in order to apply).

We are reimagining healthcare at Boots to create a more personalised customer experience and make healthcare more accessible for all. To support this ambition we have some exciting new roles within our Healthcare teams:

Our Health & Wellness Sales Advisors are our in-store health and wellness ambassadors providing advice and product recommendations to our customers, and our Healthcare Services Nurses play a key role in providing Boots Private in-store services (Travel, Immunisations and Vaccines), offering holistic advice and exceptional patient care. As a Boots Healthcare Services Nurse you’ll get to upskill on new healthcare services, build relationships within the local community and support the safe and efficient operation of the healthcare business in your store, so if you’re a registered practising Nurse looking for a new opportunity, take a look at our latest Nurse jobs here.

We are proud to be supporting Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research programme in partnership with the NHS, designed to develop new ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases and health conditions. As a Boots Phlebotomist you will play a key role in Our Future Heath’s mission to help people live healthier lives for longer by collecting health measurements and taking venous blood samples from participants to contribute to the research.

You will need to have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and may currently be or have previous experience of working as a Pharmacy Dispenser to join us. We do also offer Trainee Pharmacy Advisor positions where you will work towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer work experience in our pharmacies or in our stores at this time. We are working with a national charity, Speakers for Schools, to deliver a virtual experience programme, you can find out more on our Early Careers page.

Our salaries vary based on your skills, experience and the location of the role, this is something that we would be able to discuss with you at interview.

Customer Assistant

This is a customer-facing role, where you’ll have the opportunity to get to know our customers and help them feel good.

Whether you’re helping them find the perfect product, working behind the tills, stocking the shelves or supporting deliveries, you’ll help to creating a great shopping experience for our customers that will make them want to come back. You’ll have the chance to develop your own career, with plenty of opportunities to grow and progress to roles such as Trainee Pharmacy Advisor.
