Are you an experienced leader who excels at inspiring teams, driving performance and delivering exceptional customer experiences across multiple locations?

As a Multi-Site Store Manager, you'll lead a cluster of Boots Opticians stores including Winchester, Havant, Southampton and Portsmouth, taking responsibility for colleagues, commercial performance, customer experience and operational excellence across your area. This is a unique opportunity to lead through others, building capability and delivering results across multiple locations rather than a single store.

At Boots Opticians, we help people see what's possible. As a Multi-Site Store Manager, you'll make a meaningful difference to customers, patients and colleagues by creating exceptional experiences, developing future leaders and ensuring every store in your area delivers the very best of Boots Opticians.

Leading a network of stores and Store Leaders, you'll create a culture where people feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed. You'll balance customer care, people leadership, operational excellence and commercial performance, ensuring consistently high standards are delivered across every location

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires strong influencing skills, commercial awareness and the ability to lead effectively when you're not always physically present. You'll work closely with Store Leaders, regional teams and support functions to deliver outstanding results and help shape the future success of Boots Opticians.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Multi-Site Store Manager, you'll report to the Regional Manager and be responsible for leading a cluster of stores through your leadership team. You'll focus on developing capability, driving performance and ensuring a consistently exceptional experience for customers and patients across your area

You will:
  • Lead, coach and inspire Store Leaders and their teams to deliver exceptional customer, patient and commercial outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships and create accountability across multiple locations, leading effectively through influence and remote leadership.
  • Create a high-performance culture where colleagues feel supported, engaged and empowered to succeed.
  • Develop future leaders and build a strong talent pipeline across your stores through coaching, succession planning and development.
  • Drive commercial performance across your area through effective planning, resource deployment and performance management.
  • Use data and insight to identify opportunities, prioritise support and maximise business performance across your stores.
  • Ensure exceptional customer and patient experiences are consistently delivered across every customer journey.
  • Maintain high standards of operational excellence, compliance, health and safety and clinical governance across your stores.
  • Work closely with Boots Hearingcare, NHS partners, regional teams and support functions to support the needs of your local communities.
  • Lead through change with confidence, helping colleagues embrace new opportunities and ways of working.
  • Take ownership of the overall performance of your cluster, delivering sales, profit and colleague engagement targets.

What You'll Need to Have
  • Experience leading multiple locations, remote teams or large-scale operations across several sites.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, create accountability and influence performance when not physically present day-to-day.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, driving profitability and improving business performance.
  • Experience leading and developing leaders to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strong operational leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
  • Experience using data and insight to identify opportunities and inform decision making.
  • Confidence leading through change and managing complex people challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, coach and inspire teams at all levels.
  • Flexibility and resilience to respond to the changing needs of a multi-site operation.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Experience within an optical retail environment.
  • Experience within a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of hearing care, enhanced services or community healthcare partnerships.
  • Experience managing significant operational change across multiple locations.

At Boots Opticians, your career can be as ambitious as you are.

As a Multi-Site Store Manager, you'll be recognised as one of our senior operational leaders, gaining experience leading multiple stores, developing future leaders and driving performance across a wider area. Alongside hands-on experience, you'll have access to industry-leading leadership development, commercial training and optical learning opportunities to help you continue growing your skills and career.
