Welcome to the gloriously wonderful Soap & Glory Foresight & Ideation team at Boots! We are on the lookout for an Assistant Product & Ideation Manager to join us in Nottingham, Beeston. If you’re passionate about beauty and eager to make a real impact, this is the role for you!

What you’ll be doing

In this exciting and fast-paced position, you will be responsible for developing our next generation of Soap & Glory NPD offerings. You’ll work in a matrix with our cross-functional teams to bring the most compelling products to our customers. Reporting to the Global Product & Ideation Manager, you will also support our Global Product Assistant.

Key responsibilities

  • Dig into trends, consumer insights, and cultural signals to spot opportunities and shape them into clear, compelling product territories.

  • Write briefs and brand narratives that genuinely excite and inspire.

  • Collaborate closely with fragrance, formulation, packaging, and design partners to push ideas forward.

  • Keep cross-functional projects moving by connecting the dots between teams and ensuring everyone has what they need at the right time.

  • Bring a commercial lens to every idea, ensuring they are not only innovative but also viable.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

  • Experience in creating compelling consumer-led concepts and product propositions, translating trends and insights into opportunity spaces.

  • Ability to craft inspiring briefs and emotionally compelling narratives.

  • Proven experience in supporting suppliers and partners to deliver breakthrough ideas in product and design.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

  • Commercial acumen to screen and translate the latest product ideas into scalable opportunities.

It would be great if you also have

  • A passion for beauty, bodycare, skincare, or colour cosmetics.

  • Previous experience in the beauty and/or bath and body category.
