As an Internal Communications Specialist in our dynamic Internal Communications team, you'll be at the forefront of delivering the Boots UK and No7 Beauty Company internal communication strategy. Your mission is to connect, engage, and inspire our team members. You'll partner with various senior stakeholders to communicate effectively with large groups of colleagues.

In this role, you'll explore exciting and innovative ways to inform our people, boost engagement, and inspire team member advocacy across multiple campaigns and projects. Meaningful and effective internal communications are the heartbeat of our culture – and this role is pivotal in ensuring we connect with all our team members at the right times, enabling our people to thrive and connect with each other.

What you'll be doing

We're looking for someone who thrives on shaping and delivering bold and engaging colleague communications in a fast-paced environment. With a proven track record of using communications and engagement tools, tactics, and techniques, you'll bring projects and campaigns to life with creativity, great planning, and curiosity, both digitally and face-to-face.

This role will suit a proven internal communications professional who is looking for an opportunity to showcase their skills in a high-achieving IC team.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver creative and engaging communication campaigns that support our commercial strategic priorities and HR-led projects.
  • Produce professional written, visual, and digital content across Boots and No7BC's internal channels.
  • Foster great conversations between leaders, managers, and colleagues through our core internal communication channels.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of our communication activities and channels.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of business-as-usual communications activities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, actively developing them.
  • Leverage your strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and emotional intelligence to collaborate effectively with peers, senior/external stakeholders, and influencers, maintaining a network across the organisation. You'll work closely with our Marketing, HR, and Studio and Content teams.
  • Use your advanced planning and organisational skills to anticipate stakeholder needs, plan communications in advance, and always think one step ahead to achieve the best results.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
  • You're an excellent writer and communicator with a strong command of English
  • You're a creative storyteller with an eye for design and a flair for producing engaging, well‑crafted content.
  • You build strong relationships and collaborate well with peers and senior/external stakeholders.
  • You use data and business thinking to demonstrate the impact of your internal communications work.
  • You're technically confident, with solid knowledge of social media and digital tools.
  • You're calm under pressure, resilient, organised, and able to work at pace to meet deadlines.
  • You stay curious about the internal comms industry and seek out best practice and inspiration from others.
  • You're proactive, flexible, and unphased by unexpected tasks or changing priorities.
  • You work well both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team, motivating colleagues along the way.
  • You bring fresh, creative ideas that help colleagues feel informed, inspired, and connected to our brands and culture
