This is an exciting opportunity to join the Retail Operations Development team as a Project Specialist. Our mission is simple: to make things Simpler for Stores, Better for Customers, and More Valuable for Boots. We lead and deliver projects that streamline store operations and harness smart technology to enhance the experience for both customers and team members.

In this role, you'll report to a Project Manager, supporting the successful delivery of initiatives from our three-year plan. You may also lead your own portfolio of projects. Your work will help reduce complexity and free up time for store teams to focus on what matters most—delivering great customer experiences and driving sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply strong planning and organisation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

  • Use data, insights and the voice of the customer feedback to identify opportunities to simplify and modernise store operations.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver improvement opportunities to create efficiencies and new solutions.

  • Engage key stakeholders to implement and embed change effectively.

  • Develop and execute communication and readiness plans to ensure smooth implementation across field and store teams.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

  • A solid understanding of in-store processes and operations.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the desire to build relationships across all functions

  • Enthusiasm and a desire to seek out new opportunities and deliver the right solutions for store teams

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to power through problems

  • Advanced Excel skills, strong numeracy and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • A commitment to delivering results and championing best practice and continuous improvement

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience in store operations or management

  • Familiarity with process mapping and the various project methodologies

Rewards designed for you

  • Boots Retirement Savings Plan

  • Discretionary annual bonus

  • Generous employee discounts

  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay and gift card for anyone expecting or adopting a child

  • Flexible benefits scheme including option to buy additional holiday, discounted gym membership, life assurance, activity passes and much more.

  • Access to free, 24/7 counselling and support through TELUS Health, our Employee Assistance Programme.
