Product Manager – Boots Brand Health & Wellness
Role: Product Manager – Boots Brand Health & Wellness
Contract: Permanent
Shift pattern: Full Time
Location: Nottingham
Closing date: 27th Feb 2026
Recruitment Partner: Matthew Nelligan
What you'll be doing
As Product Manager, you'll be responsible for developing & delivering the 3-year product pipeline within our £350m Boots brand Health & Wellness business, the beating heart of the UK's #1 Health & Beauty brand. You'll have full accountability for the end-to-end product development across your own set of categories: from concept to shelf - building an elevated & modernised range that's sufficient to deliver our ambitious growth target. You'll react fast to changing healthcare market dynamics and wellness trends, identifying opportunities to add value & meet customer needs better than ever before.
Key responsibilities
You'll strengthen our core - nurturing & evolving our existing ranges, balancing an increase in specialist product range to emphasize our medical authority, with efficiency in trend-led range extensions.
You'll also handle the non performing segments of our range, replacing products we aren't proud of with products that we love.
You will work hand in hand with your technical, sourcing, commercial and supply colleagues to create market-leading range plans, that set your product portfolio up to grow ahead of the category.
You'll build relationships with our design and artwork agencies and marketing teams, collaborating to launch inspiring, unique propositions, taking a disruptive approach that grabs attention and airtime for our brand.
You'll tell inspiring product stories throughout the organisation, sharing product plans for the future that really excite people.
You'll be the go-to expert in your range dynamics & hierarchy, role of product and consumer-led positioning.
You'll lead by example, nurturing your direct reports' talent to drive high performance in product development, positioning & delivery within the categories they work on.
What you'll need to have
You're able to demonstrate 5 years+ experience in end-to-end product development. Experience in health and wellness is preferable, demonstrating how you can navigate a tightly regulated environment across multiple product classifications. You're passionate about good design, with an understanding of consumer-led product positioning, message hierarchies, claims wording, iconography and colour.
You spot opportunities where others don't and are determined to see your new product ideas through to delivery, demonstrating your completer-finisher mindset. You have ideas about what you'd do differently in healthcare space and you're able to autonomously prioritise your work according to value generated for the business.
Excellence in communication: Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences and your storytelling is of a high standard, both verbally and written. This role is pretty copy-heavy, from pack copy writing to sell-in presentations.
Strong impact & influencing skills are key. With the right resources available to you, you can demonstrate an in-depth understanding of your categories and markets. Your work is clear and easy to follow, and your rationale for decision-making is powerful and hard to dispute, making partner alignment as easy as possible.
You have experience in leading a team. You're a role model for leadership behaviours, setting a good example to those around you. You're able to demonstrate your ability to deliver through others, by unwavering support, confidence to lean into challenges and commitment to their personal development.
You build & nurture productive relationships and can demonstrate experience working well within teams. You recognise that collaboration with other experts you can navigate conflicting targets to achieve a common goal.
