About the role
The Data Governance Lead role sits within the Opticians Data and Programmes Team working with and reporting to the Data Manager.
The role plays a critical part in leading and supporting the operational management of customer and product data through every touchpoint
in the customer journey; ensuring data is healthy, accurate, used responsibly and up to date. Working with a wide range of business
stakeholders the role ensures our data, data systems and processes are compliant to all relevant regulations and data breadth and data
quality is sufficient to enable the smooth running of the Opticians business.
Key responsibilities
- Good comms skills; able to “translate” detailed information for non-specialist business stakeholders. 
- Possess high attention to detail. 
- Enjoy working x-functionally with multiple business teams. Able to challenge and influence others to align to business processes. 
- Comfortable resolving ambiguous situations & and problem solving. 
- Curious and able to investigate to identify root cause for issues and recommend solutions. 
- Strong organisation skills & able to manage several tasks simultaneously 
- Knowledge of Opticians data landscape is desirable but not essential. 
- Experience working within data protection or data governance environment is desirable but not essential. 
- Role model Boots behaviours & values. 
Key Measurables
- Deliver outputs to time & quality standards (e.g. DIAs, ROPAs). 
- Stakeholders are engaged with & supporting data governance processes. 
- Positive relationships maintained with all stakeholder teams.
