About the role
The Boots Digital Implementation team are looking for an accomplished UAT assistant to help improve our online customer experience. This opportunity is a 24-month fixed-term contract working 37.5 hours-per-week, 5 days a week at our Nottingham D90 head office.
You will support the Digital Assistant Release Manager by conducting UAT, targeted, exploratory, and regression testing across multiple environments as part of an agile-driven release process.
Key responsibilities
Liaising with teams cross-functionally to understand the elements of each release.
Raising, tracking, and retesting defects, ensuring the digital implementation team are updated on progress throughout the process.
Creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive UAT scripts and test scenarios to ensure coverage aligns with business requirements and release objectives.
Communicating any impediments to progress in a timely manner to allow the Digital Assistant Release Manager to prioritise to ensure correct decisions on resolution are taken.
Supporting out of hours testing for releases on go-live mornings, as well as any ad hoc requirements.
To have a working knowledge of the many different systems and tools that are used to support Boots.com.
Supporting the Digital Implementation team as well as the wider areas of Boots.com team as and when required (e.g., fraud reviewing, supporting with peak activity).
What you'll need to have
Holds a foundation ISTQB qualification with a strong understanding of the 7 principles of testing, alongside practical experience in various testing areas.
Has experience creating and maintaining clear, structured UAT scripts and test scenarios to ensure thorough and consistent test coverage.
Is skilled in identifying defects, patterns, and trends, contributing to continuous improvement of the Boots.com customer experience.
Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
Confidently collaborates across teams
Proficient in JIRA, with the ability to build and manage project plans, as well as other collaboration tools such as Confluence.
Embraces change with confidence, works effectively under pressure, and navigates the demands of a dynamic business with tenacity.
Manages tasks independently, meets tight deadlines, and supports regular overnight deployments and occasional weekend work as required.
