We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Optometrist to join us on a Resident basis based out of our Turnbridge Wells practice at Boots Opticians ideally on a full time basis however we would be open to part time too.
Latest equipment in the practice including the Optomap, Oct, TRK2P , Henson , phoropter heads.
Royal Tunbridge wells is the only spa town in Southeast England. A town of two halves, The Pantiles is the heart of old Tunbridge Wells. A Georgian colonnade with some of the prettiest buildings in town, it is now a thriving collection of shops, boutiques, pubs, cafés and restaurants which is for the more traditional shopping, Then the High Street and Royal Victoria Place brings, the modern, big brand shops, Other interests would be Local parks, Historic building & a Theatre.
Tunbridge Wells have a direct train to London which is normally around a 40mins journey. Carparks are within walking distance from RVP, where permits can be purchased to reduce the cost.
As an Optometrist at Boots, you’ll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you're leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same, and your growth never stops.
Key responsibilities
- Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
- Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
- Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
- Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
- Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
- Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
- Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- We’re looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
- GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
- NHS performer number (or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
It would be great if you also have
- Experience supporting enhanced services
- A strong understanding of local clinical networks
