About your role

We have two roles available, one as Professional Contracts Specialist sat within our Commercial Team in our fast growing Boots Online Doctor team. The Boots Online Doctor team's ambition is to be the UK's leading digital health provider. They offer a range of products and services online, providing reliable guidance and support to customers. The Professional Contracts Specialist will report to the Head of Commercial Development. You will work with, support, and learn from various functions across the business including our Superintendent Pharmacist's Office, Legal Team, Finance Team and Boots Online Doctor Clinical and Operational teams as well as liaising with and supporting relationships with our external commissioners and 3rd parties. You'll be accountable for providing high-level expertise in the day-to-day review and processing of NHS Boots Digital Health contracts ensuring risks are identified and contracts are signed in the timescales. You'll seek Legal guidance as needed on contract clauses and to help ensure policies are up to date and followed.
In our second role there is the opportunity to work across the different teams that form the Healthcare Business unit. From our Pharmacy team who own and develop our growth strategy, services and prescriptions offering and our NHS and Commercial contracts; our Superintendent Pharmacist's Office who navigate the legal, regulatory and professional standards that govern the Pharmacy industry to ensure our teams operate and the capabilities needed to deliver safe and impactful patient care; and our Healthcare Development and Public Affairs team who help develop new propositions to support the future needs of patient care, support the business' involvement in UK Clinical Research trials to help improve participation and outcomes, and manage our relationships and communications with MP's, Government Officials and the NHS. You'll be involved in key activities and projects, get to work cross functionally developing your skills and knowledge in a series roles through planned rotations across the team.
What you'll need to have
Must be on track or have achieved a 2:1 degree (or higher).
Note: For the Professional Contracts Specialist role ideally this should be a Law degree or equivalent that demonstrates the ability to undertake detailed analysis and research which can be applied to legislation and policies
It would be great if you also have
Strong attention to detail and the desire to solve problems and see them through to resolution
Strong prioritisation, organisation and time management skills to manage a demanding, highly variable workload with appropriate pace whilst maintaining a consistently high quality of output
An ability to cope with change in a fast-paced environment
Sound commercial acumen and an ability to challenge processes / figures to deliver efficiencies
An ability to work well as part of a team, and be able to build effective and collaborative relationships across the business (or with internal and external stakeholders)
Excellent administrative, data management, IT (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) across a wide range of stakeholders who operate at many different levels
