About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Boots Health Hub team in the Digital Healthcare function.
As the Digital Content Manager, you will lead a team of digital content specialists who increase traffic, accelerate content growth and increase sales, gross profit and customer engagement generated via the Boots Health Hub.
You'll take the lead in managing various digital content-focussed projects that improve our Health Hub channel, whether that is by developing the content plan, adapting the user experience as the platform scales, and defining how we'll grow our user base with our marketing teams and digital specialists such as SEO. Currently we are undertaking an extensive digital transformation programme across our digital estate, and your involvement in the Boots Health Hub will be a key part of this.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Digital Healthcare, with opportunities to collaboratively work with cross functional teams including; Digital and User Experience teams, Social, Digital Product Management, Superintendent Pharmacists Office, Legal, Marketing, Category teams and external providers.
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
Managing a team of content specialists and content optimisation leads who maintain, brief and approve the content that is published on boots.com
Driving the development of the team, with a focus on skills around digital content excellence , with a focus on e.g. SEO, UX copywriting expertise, review cycles, approval best practices

Leading the delivery of a relaunched Health Hub, with a new content management system and improved page layouts, alongside ongoing optimisation once in liv
Being an advocate for the future health hub strategy – how will it evolve to enable us to become the first choice in google behind NHS.UK?
OWNING THE CONTENT APPROACH, ROADMAP AND 3 YEAR PLAN.
Coaching team and being ultimately responsible for the content plan, ensuring that different content suppliers are managed in a coordinated way, avoiding e.g. duplication of content on the site, and maximising the performance of each and every piece
Managing external digital content suppliers
Ensuring the existing pages are relevant and up to date using customer insights , SEO, and market trends.
Managing the briefing process of page development ensuring all regulatory approvals are achieved to timescales.
OWNING HEALTH HUB PERFORMANCE
Reviewing analytics and performance – participating actively in commercial rhythm of the biz. Managing and coaching specialists within the team who lead this.
LEADING THE TIE-IN WITH MARKETING/SOCIAL
Driving key activities linked to our marketing team that support wider campaigns whilst also driving performance media into the Boots Health Hub.
WIDER REMIT
While we continue to expand the team, the successful post holder may also lead on broader areas, such as pharmaceutical partnerships, brand partnerships, public sector tie-ins and health hub promotional events.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience with digital content best practice
Understanding the healthcare market, the needs of the customers and our partners.
Strong understanding of market data and customer insight to identify areas of customer need and align with Health Hub strategy.Experience with content management and digital asset management systems
Strng understanding of SEO, social, written, and multimedia content
A strong focus on content accuracy and quality, with e.g. an understanding of style guides and managing/governing approval processes
Build and maintain effective cross functional relationships whilst holding others to account in support and delivery of the plan.
Experience of managing and developing teams both directly as line manager and indirectly
Passionate about digital, healthcare, and digital advice/content
A great people leader
Approachable and friendly to allow you to build up a strong network of relationships quickly, engaging a wide range of personalities, taking people with you.
Have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently and at pace
Possessing resilience, adaptability and you're not fazed by things changing in an agile and fast-moving environment.
·Ability to have impact and influence with very senior stakeholders using a variety of techniques/styles.
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation/influencing skills, understanding that detail and accuracy is vital, but able to contribute and be comfortable with future thinking.
