About your role
Digital is an extremely fast paced area of Boots at the very core of our business; our teams develop, run and continually improve Boots digital platforms to ensure we are giving our customers the best experience across all channels.
We are a varied team, from developing digital customer strategy to designing, implementing and even running boots.com we always put our customers and patients first.
Digital is woven throughout our business and since boots.com is our biggest “store” the importance of our success is ever growing.
In this role you’ll be part of the Digital Operations team who keep our boots.com website running. Instrumental to ensuring Boots.com can trade effectively you be an Operations Assistant, getting involved in operational tasks from setting up our amazing promotions, to processing returns and providing insight. You’ll be looking at how the website is delivering against key measures, spotting and recommending improvements to ensure we are giving our customers the best on-line experience. You will be the ‘go to person’ for pulling together and sharing crucial data and using your own initiative to take timely action. You will support our ambition to help customers feel good by working with our customer service team, advising on escalations and providing effective communications to customers and stores.
Within the Digital Operations team, we also have a team of User Acceptance Testers (UAT) who ensure Boots.com lands any new digital functionality right first time for our customers. As technology is ever advancing we are continually improving our customer experience and we need people with an eye for detail to plan and test new functionality to the extreme, before it goes into a live environment. Working closely with the I.T team you will be responsible for testing systems from the perspective of the customer or our store colleagues. You will need to ensure everyday user scenarios are covered, identify and record any unexpected outcomes and issues and work with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve them. You’ll then support the ‘go live’ process.

- You’ll need to be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 degree as part of a course that allows for a placement programme year

- A clear and un-rivaled passion for digital and everything that is associated with it
- You will be confident dealing with a variety of teams and be able to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely
- Strong attention to detail and the desire to solve problems and see them through to resolution
- You will be confident with data and be able to draw insights and make recommendations
- The ability to learn quickly, work independently and to deadlines is essential
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
- A drive for self-development and growth
- An ability to work well as part of a team, and be able to build effective and collaborative relationships across the business (or with internal and external stakeholders)
