Beauty Academy Trainer
My favourite thing about working for Boots is that I get to meet so many people each day, from new advisors to my fellow Beauty trainers in the UK and brand experts and customers in store.

My name is Jess Moloney and I have worked in the beauty industry for over 12 years.

Being creative has been my passion for as long as I can remember, I thoroughly enjoyed arts and crafts throughout my school years. That passion and creativity slowly turned in to fun experimenting with makeup and different hair colours in my teen years.

Finishing school, I went on to study Theatrical & Media Makeup Artistry in Senior College Dun Laoghaire. There, my passion really took flight and I spent my year exploring every avenue the makeup industry has to offer, from theatrical and stage to bridal and fashion makeup. I began my career as a Makeup Artist in 2008 working as a Retail ArtistI developed my career and artistry skills and found my love of teaching and passing on the skills I have learned. Becoming a Makeup Trainer is truly the sweet spot for me in my career, combining my love of all thing beauty and of teaching. I get to be creative and educational and share my passion, inspire and be inspired.

Becoming a Boots Beauty Academy Trainer

In 2017, I began my career at Boots as Beauty Academy Trainer, this new venture was very exciting for me as there was a whole world of Beauty for me to explore and learn, with numerous brands to discover. The role for me is perfect as I get to work both in store with the Beauty & No7 Advisors as well as in Support Office where I conduct most of my training. I also get to continue my passion for helping people, I have done many volunteer Cancer Beauty workshops throughout my career, and I was over the moon to hear about the Boots and Irish Cancer Society partnership, which would become a major part of my role. Throughout the year I support ‘Feel More Like You Again’ workshops in Arc Support Centres, where I conduct Beauty workshops for women and men who are undergoing cancer treatment. I also train our Beauty & No7 Advisors in treating customers who are dealing with side effects from cancer treatment so they can also carry out the ‘Feel More Like You Again’ service in store.

My favourite thing about working for Boots is that I get to meet so many people each day, from new advisors to my fellow Beauty Trainers in the UK and brand experts and customers in store.
