• Services delivered in store: Boots Opticians Welwyn Garden City is located within a busy shopping centre and serves a diverse patient demographic through a range of NHS and private optical services. The store continues to invest in its clinical offering, with both OCT and Optomap technology arriving soon, further enhancing the patient experience and supporting high-quality clinical care.
• Team structure: You will join a large, experienced team of around 20 colleagues who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. As a Store Manager Optometrist, you'll have the opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supported by an established and collaborative team culture focused on development, performance and patient outcomes.
Located in the heart of Welwyn Garden City, the store benefits from excellent transport links, with the train station just a short walk away and direct services into London in approximately 20 minutes. Discounted parking is available nearby for around £2.50 per day, making commuting convenient whether travelling by car or public transport.

As an Optometrist Store Manager with us you'll be providing excellent customer and patient care, as well as leading and inspiring your store team. You’ll create a culture where everyone is passionate about doing the right thing.
- Using your passion for delivering patient care you'll work with colleagues to deliver a positive customer journey.
- Drive local plans for enhanced services and delivering towards P&L objectives
- Bringing your personality into the day to day running of the practice – working with and developing your team to provide the best service to patients
- Building longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community.
What you’ll need to have
- Fully qualified GOC registered Optometrist
- Additional registration with the relevant NHS body
- Passion for patient care
- Leadership experience
