As a Store Manager, you’ll lead from the front—creating a calm, supportive and confident culture for your team of 10, which includes Pharmacists, an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, Dispensers and Retail Advisors. You’ll set the standard for safe healthcare, strong dispensing practices and great retail execution, ensuring your store feels organised, welcoming and trusted by everyone who walks through the door.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. With pharmacy making up a significant proportion of the business, your early focus will be on getting to know the dispensary, supporting your team and embedding safe, efficient ways of working—while also maintaining high retail standards across the shop floor. You’ll be supported every step of the way with a structured 12-week Store Leader induction and ongoing guidance from experienced Store Managers in nearby Shrewsbury and Telford.

This role is ideal for an experienced Store Manager, an Assistant Manager ready to take the next step, or an experienced Dispenser or Pharmacy Technician who is confident running a store day-to-day and looking to move into a Store Manager position.


What you’ll be doing

As Store Manager, you’ll report into the Area Manager and bring clear direction and support to your store. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll spend time on the shop floor and in the dispensary, helping your team deliver safe, effective care and a great customer experience.

You will:

• Lead and inspire your team to deliver great service and care
• Drive performance, balancing customer needs with business goals
• Build strong relationships with local GP surgeries and be part of the community
• Deliver NHS services safely and confidently, offering clear and trusted advice
• Support and oversee a well-organised, compliant dispensary
• Maintain high retail standards across the store
• Get to know your team and support their development and wellbeing
• Coach colleagues to build confidence, skills and experience
• Use data and insight to identify opportunities to improve
• Create a store environment your team is proud of and customers trust

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
• Experience working in a UK dispensary
• Retail Management Experience - as a store manager, experienced assistant manager or Dispenser / Pharmacy Technician with experience running a store day-to-day
• A passion for customer care and great service
• Confidence in leading performance and delivering results
• A calm, flexible approach and ability to adapt
• A collaborative style and ability to build strong relationships
• A willingness to learn and support others to grow

It would be great if you also have

• Experience coaching and developing others
• Confidence using technology and digital tools
