Join our busy, well-established store where no two days are the same. You'll be part of a passionate, close-knit team delivering a wide range of eye care services in a supportive and collaborative environment.
We’re offering up to 30 hours (or less) with flexibility to suit you – whether you’re looking for full days or half days. Our Rota includes a variety of shifts: Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Week 1, and Wednesday through Saturday in Week 2.

With a bustling hearing department we pride ourselves on clinical excellence, genuine patient care, and a strong community presence. The patient demographic for the store is varied with a higher 40+ range.

As an Optometrist at Boots, you’ll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you're leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same, and your growth never stops.
Key responsibilities
- Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
- Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
- Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
- Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
- Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
- Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
- Playing a key role in your store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- We’re looking for Optometrists who are confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.
- GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
- NHS performer number (or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration
It would be great if you also have
- Experience supporting enhanced services
- A strong understanding of local clinical networks
