In the world of ongoing pharmacy learning and development we aim to be at the forefront of capability and career development and we really wanted to put ourselves forward for Royal Pharmaceutical Society accreditation as a training provider."

Gaining this recognition means that we can demonstrate to our own leaders, pharmacy teams and the wider pharmacy world the quality of our pharmacy and healthcare programmes and  infrastructure to support what we do and how we do it.

The professional learning and development team are mostly made up of Pharmacists, who bring a breadth and depth of experience from inside and outside of Boots UK. Their backgrounds range from academia, store management, hospital pharmacy and services pharmacy.

This breadth of experience supports the professional learning and development team to develop content and learning which is underpinned by core training principles in a professional context.

The learning and development team take time to talk to our business stakeholders, Pharmacists and pharmacy support staff to ensure those who are developing the learning initiatives meet the needs of our learners and our customers.

At our Let’s Connect events for Store Managers and Pharmacists was last Autumn where we were thrilled and very proud to share the news about being the first Royal Pharmaceutical Society recognised accredited training provider.
