As the global business expands, and more partnerships are formed, it is increasingly important to ensure that data is of the highest quality. Data will underpin business-critical processes and in many cases, will be shared with external partners for use in their systems. Good data will be an enabler for the business, whereas bad quality data will be an inhibitor and a source of risk to future development.

Working within the Global Brands Master Data Team, and reporting to the Business Process Manager.

The role will require strong attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills and will involve working closely with Product, Category, Supply, and Finance teams across the business. It will also require liaison with Boots UK Master Data and Project Teams.

  • Ownership of the quality, completeness and timing of data flowing into core business systems by working closely with Global Brand and Category teams

  • Monitor all NPD projects to manage peaks in activity. Ensure data validation does not become a bottleneck in the workflow across the department and within the role

  • Review and validate new master data submitted for approval, liaising with the Supply, Brand and Category teams to resolve issues and queries

  • Have an in depth knowledge of data procedures and the way these affect the business

  • Support the planning, development, implementation and review of existing and proposed data related processes

  • Load data into systems using appropriate tools

  • Manage housekeeping of existing data, including cleansing activities, sample checks, archiving and support data migration processes

  • Manage the checking of data against physical product samples by utilising the Cubiscan resource, working closely with BUK Master Data team to share information

  • Monitor adherence to data processes and KPI’s. Maintain records of data accuracy as a means of highlighting problem areas and driving improvements

  • Ownership of raw sales reporting data and process to include maintenance of the master data, quality checks, investigation of issues and communication to key users on the data quality / availability (Qlikview System)

  • The ability to build strong relationships cross functionally and work as an effective team player to coach, influence and motivate

  • Be a point of contact for data-related queries from Global Brand Teams and Markets

  • Support to the GB Master Data Team and cover of business critical activities.
