We’re looking for a Mobile Dispensing Optician to join our fantastic Boots Opticians team, covering our practices across Wigan, Liverpool, Hunts Cross, and St Helens.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and the chance to work with different teams in bright, modern practices. Each store is well-equipped (including OCT, Optomap, and phoropters) and supported by experienced teams who create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
Our stores have all been recently refitted (September 2025), with spacious testing rooms and a modern look that makes them a great environment for both patients and colleagues.
This is a full-time role, working 9–5 most days, with one late clinic on Thursdays (until 7pm) and Sunday hours of 11–4:30. Free Sunday parking and discounted staff parking are available, along with excellent transport links via multiple train stations and bus routes.
We’d love to hear from both newly qualified and experienced Dispensing Opticians who are looking for a flexible role with the chance to work across a variety of busy, supportive practices.

As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.
Key responsibilities
• Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
• Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
• Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
• Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
• Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
• Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
• Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
• Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.
