About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Operations FP&A team which provides financial leadership across our Operations Cost base (totaling circa £2bn per annum).
This is a high-profile role, with significant influence and scope for value-add, working alongside both senior business stakeholders and other finance colleagues
This role is for a Finance Manager in the Operations FP&A team and will involve leading best practice and driving efficiencies across a variety of FP&A activities.
You will report into the Head of Finance, Operations FP&A. You will have no direct reports but will involve working with and directing the work of the Senior Finance Analysts within the Operations FP&A team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report key financial metrics, including weekly and monthly actual and forecast cost performance
- Drive delivery and reporting of operational cost efficiency programmes
- Drive efficiencies in financial reporting into the business
- Manage key areas in three-year plan and budget process across the supply chain cost base
- Hold the business to account to deliver cost targets
What you’ll need to have
- Proven strong performance in business partnering and holding stakeholders to account to deliver financial targets
- Strong financial analytical capability and ability to quickly focus on key issues
- Flexibility required in terms of working approach and hours to meet time critical deadlines
- Passion for driving efficiencies and ongoing improvements in ways of working
- The ability to work effectively with teams across a variety of finance disciplines
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA)
It would be great if you also have
- In-depth working knowledge of Boots systems – SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP BO, TM1
