About the role:

The B-Hive is an in-house creative agency bringing to life the creative needs of some of the most recognizable brands in the beauty industry including No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Boots own brand.

We combine the capability of an external creative and production team, with the speed, flexibility, and in-depth brand knowledge of an in-house set-up, underpinned by years of experience dedicated to Boots and No7 Beauty Company.

The Midweight Designer will support the wider design team in delivering consistent and effective designs and ideation across a variety of media. The incumbent should possess robust experience and design skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, high-level creativity, and the skill and experience to passionately and articulately communicate and present work cross-functionally across the business.

This role also requires high-level self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines while under pressure.

About the role:

  • You will work closely with our Creative Lead and Lead Designers, helping them design collateral for various needs such as full campaigns, print, digital, in-store, image retouching, new concept development work, etc.
  • Be innovative and work with established brand identities. You will have a lot of responsibility and creative control over your given briefs. Support the design team in delivering against KPIs – CPA, speed to asset, and asset quality.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the beauty market and our brands.
  • Demonstrate a highly creative approach to briefs.
  • Ensure that all creative and artwork meet the brief, are on brand, and produced to the highest standard.

What you’ll need to have:

  • A degree in Graphic Design or a relevant subject, with a strong portfolio of work in a variety of media, including print and digital design.
  • At least 4 years' experience with dexterity in campaign work, showing examples of print & editorial design, social media concepting, email design, app content and video storyboarding, with the ability to present your work and communicate confidently.
  • Experience working with strategists or strategic work that acts as a springboard for your creative.
  • Professional use of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Happy to work across multiple brands and project briefs in a dynamic agency environment.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience in the beauty or similar industry
  • Line management experience or mentoring experience
  • Experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro
