The Buying Manager is a critical role within the EU Global Sourcing team and manages sourcing and commercial activities across a range of categories. You will develop the execution of category sourcing strategies, delivery of profit improvement initiatives, leading the development and improvement in ways of working, creation of functional MI and reporting. You will be commercially astute, have stakeholder, customer and supplier relationship management skills

About the role

· Build a small but high performing team supporting and coaching their personal and professional development.
· Support strategy development and lead tactical execution of category sourcing Strategies.
· Improve and enable differentiated production development.
· Build a high performing supplier base and manage vendor relationships across multiple categories.
· Use commercial/procurement principals and to create operational efficiency and lead commercial and contract negotiations.
· Deploy exceptional leadership skills to deliver breakthrough performance across cross functional teams.

What you’ll need to have

· Degree level Education, or equivalent procurement or commercial experience in relevant spend categories (raw material or packaging commodities, Health & Wellness, Personal & Beauty), or industry sectors (Retail, CPG).
· Experience managing negotiations for spend categories >$30m million dollars.
· Experience implementing category sourcing or commercial strategies whilst delivering results.
· Experience working with Profit & Loss (P&L) concepts and identifying and delivering profit enhancement opportunities.
· Proficiency both written and verbal and orally
