A Boots Clinical Trials service offer supports the UK in their ambition to become a Global Life Sciences superpower whilst delivering against our ambition to lower the cost of care and improve health outcomes.

As Commercial Development Manager for Life Sciences in the Clinical Trials Unit you will focus on early and mid-stage Commercial Development in clinical research and healthcare working in partnership with relevant stakeholders and teams across the business to ensure the proposition is fit for purpose and can be delivered in a commercially viable way.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that the clinical trials propositions are strategically relevant, insights driven and follow the most up to date clinical guidance.

· Lead and manage the development of value propositions in the Life Sciences space.

· Manage complex projects, identifying project requirements and working with stakeholders to turn these into a project plans, ensuring the proposition is commercially attractive, delivered on time and activated within budget.

· Examples of clinical trials service development work could include:-

o Proof of concept with selected Life Sciences partners that would contribute to Boots Clinical Trials business strategy

o The role includes preparation of new submissions, business cases, investment papers and recommendations

o Development of requirements for Health Research and Clinical Trials that improve health outcomes

o Support for overarching strategy development to include identification and development of business enablers

o Leading the day to day liaison, acting as the primary business contact within the cross functional team during the early to mid development phase, ensuring everything is running smoothly and issues are being addressed both at an internal Boots UK as well as at a global level

o Manage expectations of key stakeholders both within Boots UK and at a global level and be robust in reporting and reviewing each project.

o Support the development of bid defence for clinical research

What you’ll need to have

· Contracting experience

· Proposition and strategic development - Ability to develop client propositions based on customer and industry insights

· Business case and investment paper development and strong commercial negotiation skills, particularly in the Life Sciences

· Strong cross functional working skills eg. marketing/digital/governance/operations

· Project Management Skills

· Ability to manage uncertainty and ambiguityIt would be great if you also have
