Overview:

The Performance Media team sits within our Marketing department and is responsible for driving forward the Paid Media Strategy for Boots UK, covering performance marketing channels such as PPC, Affiliates, Display and Paid Social.

As our focus on driving performance online continues, we are now looking for a new PPC Manager to join our award award-winning Performance Media team at Boots UK.

You’ll be responsible for defining and driving the Boots Performance Strategy for Paid Search, as we continue to invest in our Digital Marketing channels for growth. You will have the balance of owning performance delivery with previous hands-on experience trading PPC, identifying opportunities for growth, as well as technical ability and a passion for analysis and measurement.

Leading a team of PPC experts, you’ll also work in close partnership with our Agency team and nurture direct relationships with Google and Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the in-housing of Paid Search for Boots UK, leading a team of seven industry-leading Paid Search practitioners.
  • Lead Tier One strategic relationships with key Paid Search partners, Google and Bing.
  • Work in collaboration with the Performance Media Manager to create and implement the Boots UK PPC Strategy and future roadmap as part of a holistic Performance Media Strategy.
  • Be accountable for the delivery and execution of best-in-class Paid Search, developing Boots best practice, leveraging automation and technology.
  • Work closely with all key internal and external stakeholders to effectively translate commercial priorities into actionable PPC strategies with the Agency, Google and Microsoft
  • To lead on the scoping and integration of industry leading Paid Search Technology which levels-up the Boots UK capabilities with 1st party data, bidding sophistication or feed segmentation.
  • Manage and ensure the accurate reporting and deployment of the multi-million-pound PPC budget.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing large PPC accounts either at an agency or in-house for a large Brand.
  • Experience in managing people or teams is highly desired.
  • Results orientated with strong attention to detail, budget management and data analysis.
  • A growth mindset – identifying growth opportunities, solution-focused - finding paths through
  • The ability to confidently engage and communicate with colleagues of all levels, key suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness, skilled in negotiation and influencing others.
  • A self-motivated drive and passion for PPC and the wider Digital Marketing landscape.

Hybrid Working (3 set days in the office)

We offer our Support Office team members a 3/2 hybrid working approach, based upon empowerment, accountability, care, and trust, which includes a mix of remote and office-based working – our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and WFH days are Monday and Friday.
