About the role:
Welcome to the Boots PR team – a dynamic and exciting team at the centre of the Boots business.
Our Corporate PR Manager is instrumental in building and protecting the Boots brand, ensuring that we continue to cement our position as the leading health and beauty retailer in the UK.
Reporting to the Head of External Communications, the position involves the development and activation of PR strategies and campaigns designed to engage media and key stakeholders in Boots strategic agenda.
Spanning corporate and ESG initiatives, it’s responsible for the development of news stories, content creation, storytelling, and event management. The role is part of a busy press office and requires the management of a wide range of media enquiries, as well as strong media relations, excellent crisis management and the ability to act as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders across the business.
• Lead and manage the corporate and ESG communications strategy, ensuring the ongoing drumbeat of news on Boots strategic priorities
• Oversee financial reporting communications for Boots to positively land key messaging on performance and priorities
• Support senior leaders with external communications, acting as a trusted advisor on media relations and reputation management
• Lead on crisis communications to minimise negative publicity and protect brand reputation
• Build strong relationships with our agency partners, managing them to deliver strong campaigns
• Manage and produce content to enhance the sell-in of our news stories, ensuring they are relevant, newsworthy, and compelling
• Evaluate and report on the corporate and ESG communications we land, taking learnings on board to inform future planning
What you’ll need to have:
• Extensive experience in corporate PR
• Excellent verbal and written skills with a flair for creative communications and content
• Resilient and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to influence at all levels
• Brilliantly organised and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously
It would be great if you also have:
• Agency management experience
• Relationships with key and relevant UK media
• Content creation skills
• Event management experience
