Reporting to the Head of Information Technology for Boots Ireland, you will work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to provide the business with strategic delivery of an ongoing programme of transformation and various key projects and initiatives.
Working in IT at Boots means you’ll collaborate with various teams across the business to develop fantastic customer experiences. Within Boots you will have access to our learning and development platforms to enhance your skills and gain new knowledge, ranging from leadership to technical courses.
- Work with Senior Delivery Managers and Lead BA’s to plan and estimate the portfolio of projects for a rolling 12-month period
- Accountable for the overall governance, delivery and reporting on the plan of a platform to achieve successful delivery of projects
- Measure and report on the Delivery performance of the portfolio (KPI’s), with PMO support, and demonstrate measurable improvements over time
- Monitor forecast accuracy and track project budgets, actuals and invoice and understand the reasons for variances and take action to improve accuracy
- Maintaining an up to date and readily accessible view of the whole platform delivery to include costs, resources, key milestones, risks and issues
- Collaborating with Project managers and delivery teams to resolve potential issues rapidly
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
• Willingness to travel within and outside of Ireland – access to car required/driving licence
• Experienced in managing the end to end delivery of multiple IT projects
• Expertise in a relevant IT project delivery methodology and processes
• Experienced in financial management and control of large budgets (£1m+)
• Experienced in commercial awareness and supplier management
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Project management qualification, e.g. APMP, Prince2, MSP
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU ALSO HAVE - desirable
• 5 years’ experience across 2 of the following areas of IT:
1. Design (Applications / Infrastructure)
2. Development (Applications / Infrastructure)
3. Support / Service Management
• Experience of managing projects with a team comprised of onshore and offshore resources
• Experience of a retail organisation
• Expert knowledge of processes in relevant business areas (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain)
• Collaborative stakeholder management and a confident communicator
• Proactive, problem solver with proven ability to work on own initiative with excellent time management within a Pharmacy environment.
