The Boots Cloud Centre of Excellence team is seeking an experienced Demand and Governance Lead to join our growing International IT and Advanced Analytics (IT2A) function. This role has the flexibility to work from either our London, Weybridge or Nottingham offices on a flexible office/home hybrid approach.

About the role:
As our new Cloud Demand & Governance Manager, you will serve as the integration point between the Cloud Centre of Excellence and business teams identifying new requirements for cloud services.

You will be adept at requirements definition, business case development, cloud vendor relationships, and managing the prioritization of service delivery. Understanding the usage and scope of existing services and gaps that would increase utilization and drive business value enables you to manage expectations for availability and deployment.

You will build and manage the Cloud governance processes to ensure we align to wider governance processes, educate stakeholders on Cloud governance and ensure that our teams deliver effectively and efficiently whilst ensuring we have the right level of governance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops a cloud demand management capability, defining and prioritizing the delivery of cloud capabilities for use across the enterprise.
  • Owns, develops and maintains the right level of governance across the CCoE to meet the wider governance rules
  • Influences and drives the delivery of the cloud strategy enabling new public cloud services within a self-serve DevOps environment.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive and optimize available cloud services.
  • Define objectives and strategy of the cloud CoE and ensure communication of the objectives to the business and project teams
  • Act as an evangelizer to advocate the efficiencies and value of cloud adoption to ensure executive buy in.
  • Drive the architecture and roadmap of the CoE program ensuring that the architecture meets the functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Standardize the project delivery by developing an optimal delivery process that blends the cloud best practices with organization’s requirements.
  • Promote reusable patterns/frameworks/ processes to onboard more applications and manage cloud knowledge and learning.

What you’ll need to have:
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial business decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing IT demand in a complex environment
  • At least 2 years experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and processes
  • At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets
  • Experience leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
  • Experience presenting ideas in business-friendly language.
