Midweight Graphic Designer

Here at Boots we are looking for a Midweight Graphic Designer to join the Design Team in the B-Hive, our award-winning internal creative & production agency, based in Nottingham.

Working at the heart of the B-Hive, you will have the opportunity to work with numerous stakeholders across the business, creating a wide range of design elements & assets from emails & web pages, through to social and campaign assets for a range of digital platforms.

About the opportunity:

• Provide design ideation for Response To Briefs for multiple comms
• Provide leadership on evolving design styles for multiple clients and customer demographics
• Support more junior team members
• Create a wide range of beauty, health, pharmacy and wellness assets in Boots style and tone of voice
• Take design briefs from concept to completion for a wide range of assets
• Work within different Brand styles to deliver work with the correct look and feel for each client
• Work as part of the wider team to ensure consistency of quality and deliver to deadline

About you:

• Able to demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for visual composition
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience pitching ideas to clients and creating response to brief presentations
• At least five years design experience either in an agency or in-house
• Experience leading design projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting more junior team members
• Graphic Design Degree or similar creative education
• Confident using the Adobe Creative Suite including, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe XD. Illustration and other creative skills are desired but not essential
• Flexible and enjoy working in a fast pace, changing environment with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
• A desire to work within a team, giving and receiving constructive feedback and direction
• A keen interest in retail, specifically the beauty and health industry
