Photography Manager – B-Hive Kings Place (Maternity Cover)

About the opportunity:

Working with some of the most recognizable brands in the beauty industry including No7, Soap & Glory and Boots own brand. The B-Hive is a key enabler to delivering our business mission and 3YP, and the Photography Manager will be crucial to that ambition through the delivery of high-quality content at scale and pace.

Responsible for the creation of high level creative digital and e-commerce assets across Global Brands, the Photography Manager will possess exceptional organisational and creative skills in order to meet briefs and deadlines and the ability to communicate, cascade and collaborate across the business to meet the global business needs.

This role also requires high-level self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines often without supervision, whilst under pressure.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the production of photography assets including video
• Responsible for the photography budgeting and able to manage tight budgets where necessary
• Responsible for the management of rights managed and royalty free images
• To interpret and implement the creative vision across a broad range of projects and brands from digital, social, print and motion in a global business.
• Build brand equity and ensure compliance to the brand guidelines and BVI.
• Key contributor to brainstorming and creation of concept work and final assets in collaboration with the design team
• Deliver right first-time approach, reducing amend and production timelines
• Contribute to brand commercial performance with engaging photography
• Ability to take on and manage multiple key projects from conception to production/final assets alone or as part of a team
• Responsible for final sign-off of photography alongside Global Design Manager
• Responsible for output excellence and ensuring delivery deadlines are met
• Manage agency partners and offshore third parties via impeccable relationship management
• To keep up to date with current trends, styles, computer software and brands, and cascade this to the team.
• Establish and maintain an asset library, ensuring that appropriate usage rights are obtained, and cascade approved assets to stakeholders as required.
• Attend shoots and assist in art-direction.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Ideally 8+ years photography experience but not essential
• Previous experience managing complex creative projects
• Experience working with budgets and in production of photoshoots
• Educated to HND/degree level in a photography related subject
• Mac/PC literate, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Well versed in retouch and all printing aspects
• Experienced in multichannel activity planning and execution
• Flexibility to work under pressure and the ability to work in a highly matrixed organisation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to the lead team and stakeholders across the business
• Ability to take the initiative and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
• A creative thinker, excellent at idea generation and problem solving
• The ability to respond to any given briefs and direction, and action this effectively
• Good interpersonal skills that can be applied to colleagues and external parties alike
• An open and flexible approach, able to work on your own initiative as well as part of the wider team
• Ability to take on and manage key projects from conception to production/final assets without supervision
• Able to mentor, coach and pass on knowledge to junior members of the team
• Open to taking on additional tasks where needed to support the lead team and Design Manager
• Creative vision and ability to design across all channels
• Motivation to maintain and improve design standards and uphold consistency regardless of project size and workload
• Extensive experience in brief writing, paired with an eye for QC on the fly
• Knowledge of stylist requirements and prop seasonal availability restrictions
