MI and Data Lead

The Retail Supply Development team work within the Boots Retail Supply function to design and deliver reliable, high quality data that enables the wider function in making data-driven decisions with modern tools and reports.
Our supply chain performance is reliant upon the data we can provide to support teams, the tools we build to speed up key tasks and the analytics we can complete to drive KPIs.

About the opportunity

• Understand Retail Supply processes to enable continuous improvement
• Work with Supply Category teams to define and prioritise requirements
• Drive process improvement & simplification through wider analysis of requests and tool usage
• Own documentation for data and reports within Retail Supply
• Business engagement for new tools & capabilities delivered by the Development Team
• Create training material to land projects with end users
• Provide updates and communication to stakeholders for in-flight projects
• Collaborate across Retail Supply with other Data Analysts and across the wider business with Data Scientists & data driven colleagues

About you


• Demonstrable Business Analysis skills: can translate business needs to technical requirements and vice-versa
• Advanced Excel: including index, tables, arrays, power pivot, and logical formulas
• Development Collaboration Software such as Azure DevOps, Jira (or similar)
• Basic SQL knowledge


• Data visualisation software such as: Power BI and Power BI Report Builder (or similar)
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services
• Microsoft Power Platform (or similar automation tools)
• Data processing languages: DAX, Power Query, Python, R (or similar)
