A pivotal role in the Beauty Centre of Excellence that focuses on brilliant partnership, methodology development, team development and thought leadership. This leader provides the what and the why on consumer analytics as well providing course correction recommendations.

About the opportunity

Part of the Beauty CofE you will lead the Global Consumer Analytics function, in the newly formed Data Office. You will be based in the UK as part of a global team delivering consumer, marketing and social listening insights for the No7 Beauty Company brands business unit (UK / US / RoW). The team are Nottingham-based, however the analysis they do will cover all markets in which we operate with focus on the US and UK.
As well as the management of the team, the Global Consumer Analytics Lead will continue to set up new working practices and processes that will drive far more depth and speed of understanding of current consumer behaviour. A truly cross functional role working with marketing teams (both global and local), commercial teams, and the broader teams within the CofE, directly linking insights to action to maximise commercial return.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide functional expertise to the Consumer Analytics team, including understanding of current toolkit as well as potential future enhancements. Including SQL, PowerBI, DataLynx and other tools in development by our Data Office
  • You will spearhead the roll-out of the new measurement initiatives within No7BC, working with the wider Insights team, business partners, and data partners to develop the right set of tools and reports to help enable the business fully utilize these new initiatives
  • You will support self-serve tool adoption across wider No7BC
  • You will lead efforts to evolve our reporting across No7BC, including a new market sizing and innovation tool, campaign & creative measurement, base business performance and monthly brand health KPIs
  • You will support key cross-category initiatives within No7BC, such as the development of our Test & Learn capability
  • You will liaise with US-based counterparts to ensure consistency of analytical approach and shared best practices
  • You will develop a No7BC advanced analytics charter establishing the techniques providing measurable support on the strategic business initiatives
  • You will champion actionable consumer and marketing insights that impact the bottom-line
  • Improve the BI capabilities
About you
  • Strong mix of both commercial understanding and experience, and analytical capability
  • Familiarity with extracting and manipulating large data sets through SQL, SAS or similar query tools would be an advantage
  • Experience in consumer and retail understanding across markets, but particularly in the UK and the US
  • Leadership experience and ability to develop new ways of working
  • Experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to understand key business questions and deliver solutions to address them, leveraging excellence in communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable presenting to range of senior leaders and colleague
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and agility. A true storyteller that synthesises insights that drive action and implementation
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed organisation
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • Model exemplar leadership behaviours sharing proven best practice ways of working across teams
