Senior Communications Manager
It’s an exciting time to join Boots. As Senior Communications Manager supporting our business in Ireland, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a company which really embraces the power of internal communication and employee engagement.

All about the role...
• You will be a key leader in delivering the overall internal communication strategy, by developing strategic plans and campaigns to inspire and engage its people aligned with Boots’ mission and purpose
• Provide strategic and tactical communication advice to senior internal stakeholders across the organisation
• You will diagnose, design, develop and implement other breakthrough strategic, creative and engaging communication plans and campaigns to support organisational initiatives
• Identify, manage and engage key work stream stakeholders to ensure messages and campaigns are driving behavioural change
• Feeding back key insights on communication effectiveness to key stakeholders and agreeing action plans
• Setting feedback and evaluation mechanisms to continually measure effectiveness of work stream communication
• Be aware of industry best practice ensuring continuous improvement of the function and contributing to the setting of quality standards for communication
• Be responsible for leading the CSR and ESG agenda Team, driving collaborative and collective ways of working
• Influence the strategic direction of CSR Communications through proposals based on impact evaluation, analysis of data and insights, demonstrating thought leadership
• Work closely with the CSR / ESG team to deliver creative solutions and compelling content as part of partnership campaigns and activities
• Support Boots Employee Fora supported by along with the HR Business Partner, to listen to and engage with elected representatives of all colleagues in Ireland and this may include representing Ireland in the company’s International Forum Meetings
• Work closely with the Head of Marketing to support external communications initiatives through the PR agency and ensure appropriate corporate communications measures and procedures in place

What are we looking for?
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a communications setting
• Excellent written and verbal skills, attention to detail, creative use of language, visuals, flair and tone of voice to create compelling content
• Technically competent with excellent knowledge of digital channels and measurement
• A natural ‘connector’ who can quickly build a network across the organisation to influence and educate on the importance of the function
• Produces new ideas with a high level of creativity, approaches and insights, whilst always working towards the ethos of delivering a best in class through continuous internal comms improvements
• You will adapt to changing circumstances, by being able to flex your style to suit different people and situations, whilst dealing with ambiguity, making positive use of the opportunities it presents
