Product Set-up Assistant – boots.com


Welcome to the Boots.com team – an exciting team within Boots UK which is at the heart of our growth plans as more customers look to us for online help, advice and shopping inspiration, as well as of course the best Boots products, prices and offers. As customers are changing, so are we: focusing on really understanding our customers’ needs and making the most of our great products and services to optimise the online shopping experience and drive growth.

The Product set-up team is a key team within e-commerce team, responsible for day to day set-up of items on the website and optimisation their product detail pages.

The team is a new team whose focus is on ensuring the best customer experience on site within the product detail page. This team will also ensure we find smarter and quicker ways of getting product live onto boots.com and spend more on the insights and improving our journey.

About the opportunity:

• Set up of all new products on boots.com – from technical set up, through product copy, attributes, categorisation, imagery etc.
• Continually optimising products once they are live – e.g. reviewing attributes in line with search data to ensure products that our customers are searching for can be found
• Supporting the e-commerce trading team and customer planning team to ensure best in class launches for promotions, events, NPD etc.
• Representing the customer when setting up products, rather than thinking like the business – to ensure that each PDP works as hard as possible to drive conversion

About you:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to react quickly to new ways of working, and to identify improvements to process
• Analytically driven
• Problem solving
• Optimisation led helpful- having a good understanding of the customer journey and the role the product detail page plays in it
• SEO knowledge helpful – must be willing to learn about SEO and apply knowledge learnt in the role

IMPORTANT NOTE: some roles within the boots.com team requires some working outside normal offices hours. This typically involves working from 5am one or two times a month, occasional weekend working particularly at peak times and occasional overnight working e.g. for major launches.
