As Supplier Development Technologist, you will support the business build its brands and create a positive impact on both people and the planet.

About the opportunity
The Supplier Development Technologist role is responsible for ensuring that all suppliers have the desired quality capability and are compliant with Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) technical and quality standards. By building strong and open supplier relationships the role holder will be responsible for developing robust continual improvement plans that have a positive impact on supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
As Supplier Development Technologist you will:

  • Support the on-boarding and set up of new suppliers through onsite supplier assessments to industry and WBA technical and quality standards
  • Conduct performance monitoring meetings with key suppliers to agreed critical metrics
  • Identify and deliver detailed supplier technical and quality performance improvement plans and associated activities
  • Provide quality and technical expertise to support effective root cause analysis and resolution of quality incidents / serious complaints
  • Identify and communicate any supplier risks and opportunities with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Due to the nature of the role and geographical locations of our supplier base, local and international travel is expected and in certain circumstances, you may be required to travel at short notice
About you
We are seeking candidates with:
  • A strong understanding of product quality and technical requirements
  • Previous manufacturing and/or auditing experience
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a stop and fix forever mentality.
  • Strong communication skills, be great at building relationships, and have previous experience of superb partner management.
