IT Project Manager

This role sits in the Healthcare and Opticians platform of IT, working closely with Boots product management and a QE team based in Naples and India. This is full time, permanent role is based at the Boots Nottingham Support Office

About the opportunity

The IT Project Manager is accountable for leading the project management activities on an Agile continuous delivery programme, which enhances the practice management system for Boots Opticians. This role is responsible for project managing the end to end system implementation, working with international teams to meet the demand of the stakeholders

. The keys requirements are:

• Co-ordinating all aspects of the project to ensure successful delivery of customer and business objectives
• Bringing together project team members from across the business and third-party organisations to build and deliver the project plan
• Leading the end to end project lifecycle, from planning, implementation, and evaluation of the projects
• Adhering to project management frameworks and standards within the team, including good financial governance
• Trouble-shooting, problem-solving and escalating issues as required

About you

The key experience & characteristics needed for the role are:

• Significant experience in agile project and/or programme management
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with rapidly changing priorities and challenging stakeholders
• Confidence, flexibility and resilience - and willingness to challenge when deadlines are not met or standards not achieved
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and good attention to detail
• Works well with others and experienced in working cross-functionally with a diverse range of people
