Liz Earle is the number 1 premium cleanser brand in the UK with significant growth plans in the UK and globally. And retailer specific/limited edition product development plays a critical role in this. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Product Manager, who will be leading the bespoke product development for QVC and other limited editions while supporting the Global Product Manager, and responsible for end to end delivery.

About the opportunity


This role will sit as part of Global Product team for Liz Earle, reporting into Global Product Manager. You will be a key contact point for the product delivery teams and brand teams and will build strong relationships across the business. You will be great at product execution as well as delivery and hold yourself to high execution standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic thinking & planning
• Continuously build deeper understanding of the Liz Earle Brand and the Liz Earle Consumer’s needs, especially QVC consumers and translate this understanding into the best consumer product propositions
• Owning the Limited Edition product development process for QVC, Christmas, etc, including idea generation, fragrance briefing, packaging design, naming, claims, etc
• Aligning the plans with commercial partner as well as all relevant stakeholders

2. NPD Delivery
• Accountable for the end to end development of the product development projects ensuring on time delivery
• Execute the NPD with excellence by creating brilliant detailed product briefs that deliver against the brand & channel strategy and own the delivery of these with cross functional teams
• Progress projects through the stage gate process while working with commercial teams at each stage
• Manage agency partners and their work on our brands from brief & evaluation specifically packaging, design and fragrance
• Supporting the Global Product Manager on ad hoc basis

3. Stakeholder Management
• Ensure full alignment of the projects with Product manager, Senior PM, Global brand team including Brand Director as well as UK & QVC commercial teams through all stages of product development
• Work across cross-functional team as well as external agency partners to manage different stages of development

4. Market Performance
• Ensure ongoing utilisation of performance data, consumer, competitor and trend insight to support the development of the plans.

About you

• Passionate about product development, beauty and skincare. Prior experience in CPG product development will be required, beauty/gifting background would be preferable
• Experience of working with fragrance houses, creative agency is highly desirable
• Your ability to manage multiple projects at any given time will be key
• Bring high levels of attention to detail and be a good communicator
• Someone who can build and hold relationships with both internal as well as external stakeholders, and working collaboratively
• Flexible, proactive, driven and team player
