Boots Opticians Franchise Finance Analyst

An exciting opportunity for an individual to join as a permanent member of the Boots Opticians finance team as Franchise Finance Analyst.

Boots Opticians operate both Core and Franchise practices and, working closely with the Franchise Finance Manager and Senior Franchise Manager, this role is key to delivering direction-setting analysis and decision-making insights for the entire Franchise estate.

By understanding the wider-business operations and building relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will own the budget and forecast process for the Franchise support team along with all analysis and investment appraisals to support Franchise portfolio movement discussions, meaning you will play a direct role in delivering the business strategy.

About the opportunity

• Annual budget setting, monthly forecasting, monthly variance analysis and accompanying recommendations for Franchise income and the Franchise support-team cost centre.
• Analysis, investment appraisal and decision support for all portfolio movements involving Franchise then following this through to an investment appraisal sign off.
• Ad Hoc analysis to provide performance insight or decision-making insight for entire Franchise estate.
• Team supervision and development support

About you

• Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA etc.) accountant
• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders and Franchise Partners
• Ability to proactively manage workload in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Strong Excel skills are essential
• Experience of SAP and business objects advantageous
