Formulation Manager
12 month fixed term contract (secondment for internal colleagues)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a formulation team responsible for developing products for our award winning and trusted brands.

About the opportunity

You will report to the Head of Formulation and be leading a team of formulation and product technologists to deliver the Global Brand NPD and EPD plans for your area of responsibility.

• You will use your scientific expertise to use both existing assets and emerging technologies to develop finished formulations which delight consumers, using both internal and external development routes.
• You will be accountable for leading and delivering the formulation activities to ensure products are delivered on time and to cost targets.
• You will be accountable for owning and managing the project formulation timings and resource and the technical risks that impact on delivery.
• You will work collaboratively and build strong relationships with our technical and commercial teams and are a key contact for our manufacturing partners and raw material suppliers.

About you

• You will have proven experience in formulation and product development, preferably in the skincare category. Experience of managing individuals or teams is desirable.
• You are able to use technical know how to solve problems and create business opportunities to enhance consumer value
• You will have an ability to effectively communicate specialist technical information to a variety of audiences
• You will have experience and confidence in engaging and influencing stakeholders within a cross functional team
• You are confident in setting and working within quality systems
