As the Boots Opticians Loss Specialist, you will support the delivery of Boots Opticians Loss agenda & will identify opportunities where savings can be made.

Using practice insight information and experience you will investigate root cause and then work alongside support office & field colleagues to overcome operational and retail challenges.

About the opportunity:

This is a 12-month secondment role within the Boots Opticians Central Operations function, reporting into the Opticians Loss Manager. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Analysis of loss data available each month, identifying where opportunities to minimise loss are available
• Work collaboratively with the wider central operations team to implement change or to re-brief ways of working in order to reduce variance and ultimately impact the loss agenda
• Where loss opportunities are identified at a local level to work with Area Managers to support the implementation of action plans to recovery monies where possible and to minimise future losses
• Carry out regular practice visit to gain insights and understanding to further reduce Opticians loss. Visit may also require support, guidance and coaching to be provided to practice & field colleagues to share knowledge and best practices to support the reduction of loss and in turn improve best practice compliance
• Using data analysis & Practice visit insight, produce and deliver the monthly loss governance pack for inclusion within the wider central operations document for the Retail Leadership Team
• Track and report key loss measures and flag where further actions need to be taken.
• Offer support, guidance & coaching to loss field specialists

About you

• You will have recent and up to date opticians practice experience
• Understanding of Boots HR & Boots Opticians Operational processes that need to be applied to investigations and other loss related opportunities
• Understanding of Boots Opticians OPS system to support investigations/loss reduction opportunities
• Ability to communicate and engage with multiple stakeholders, displaying a critical mind set to challenge and innovate
• You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, have excellent organisation & planning skills and be an effective verbal & written co-ordinator
• Analytical thinking and skill set to review various data sources, to identify trends and improvement next steps
• Integrity and discretion due to the sensitivity of data and potential outcomes of loss investigations.
