We’re looking for an outstanding copywriter and editor to lead the Copy Team in the B-Hive, our award-winning internal creative & production agency, based in Nottingham. Working at the heart of the B-Hive you will have the opportunity to work with numerous stakeholders across the business, leading your team to deliver a wide range of copy from email & social, through to long-form health, beauty & wellness articles

About the opportunity:

The Copy & Editorial Lead will lead the copy team with the B-Hive. They will be responsible for the team delivering required copy to brief, on time and in the right tone of voice and quality.

• Manage a team of copywriters and ensure required copy is delivered to brief, to the standards required and to the timings agreed
• Create copy as the lead copywriter within the team
• Quality control content at various stage gates throughout the B-Hive production process
• Ensure copy and editorial is informative, engaging and supports the customer journey
• Create and maintain documentation to ensure consistency in approach/TOV across platforms

About you:

The ideal candidate will most likely have some (or all) of the following skills and qualities. They may have relevant qualifications, but the ability to demonstrate copywriting, editorial and leadership skills is more important for success in this role.

• Digital copywriting skills with extensive experience in writing for web, email and social. Print experience would be advantageous
• Sub-editing and CMS experience
• A thorough understanding of TOV and experience in creating best practice guidelines
• Attention to detail, excellent organisation and communication skills, plus flexibility
• An understanding of UX and SEO
• An interest in beauty, wellness, health and pharmacy would be advantageous, but not essential
• An ability – and desire – to lead and inspire a team
