Growing our Healthcare business is a key strategic initiative and we’re transforming the way Services are delivered in stores and online

As the Testing and Diagnostics Commercial Development Manager, you will lead for the growth of the Testing and Diagnostics business at a sales and gross profit level taking the business from a newly launched initiative to an established service for our customers and partners.

You will be reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Healthcare Manager for Testing and Diagnostics and will work collaboratively in cross functional teams with external partners, Digital Product Management (IT), Chief Pharmacists Office, Marketing, Pharmacy Finance and Store Operations.

About the opportunity

• Understands the healthcare market, the needs of the customers and our partners
• Analyse market data and customer insight to identify areas of customer need and align with Healthcare strategy
• Identify, engage and manage partner relationships that support the Testing and Diagnostics Business.
• Analyse data on customer feedback and performance to create insights that can be acted upon to improve customer care and business performance.
• Manage the traditional trading levers of price, range, distribution and promotion within a regulated market in the context of a healthcare business.
• Negotiate with suppliers to create profitable partnerships in areas that meet customer needs.
• Maintain great customer service levels through effective cross functional engagement and holding to account of all stakeholders providing key business inputs e.g. forecasting, launch dates and any reactive tactical planning and issue resolution.
• Bring opportunity for future growth to life by contributing to the strategy evolution and 3yr planning process.
• Maximise performance and development at a team and individual level

About you

• Approachable and friendly to enable you to build up a strong network of relationships quickly, engaging a wide range of personalities, taking people with you.
• Have a “can do” attitude and be able to work independently and at pace
• Possessing resilience, adaptability and you’re not fazed by things changing in an agile and fast-moving environment.
• Ability to have impact and influence with very senior stakeholders using a variety of techniques/styles.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, understanding that detail and accuracy is vital, but able to contribute and be comfortable with future thinking.
• Ability to analyse market information, customer needs, competitors and an understanding of the economics of the business. Turning analysis into insight and action.
• Experience of managing and developing teams both directly as line manager and indirectly
