Our L&D team are at the heart of training our colleagues across Support Office and stores. Within this role, you will have the crucial focus of creating content for our Pharmacy training materials, ensuring our colleagues are trained to regulatory standards.

Overview of the role

This role leads and creates simple, efficient, patient-centred training interventions of high quality that result in the delivery of exceptional patient-centred care in our stores.

The heartbeat of this role is growing our suite of Pharmacy L&D training materials so that the interventions support our healthcare colleagues and professionals in their day-to-day practice as well as with their development and career aspirations, to deliver exceptional patient-centred care.

This role works closely with the rest of the Pharmacy Learning & Development team to deliver the ongoing development of c.25,000 pharmacy and healthcare colleagues.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract role.

Your Responsibilities
• Accountable for scoping, designing and developing patient-centred professional training interventions this could include: Pharmacy Services, Pharmacy Operations, Pre-registration and Foundation Programmes as well as training for or Pharmacy Advisors and Pharmacy Technicians
• Accountable for developing learning interventions that are engaging, simple for learners and informed by learner insights.
• Creates learning interventions which utilise blended learning approaches
• Proactively connects own workstreams across all functions and the Learning and Development workstreams as appropriate
• Works to create market-leading, externally recognised training interventions that they are right for our business and innovative in their nature
• Creates strong relationships with stakeholders in Support Office, stores and Healthcare Academy Trainer (HAT) team to ensure consistent production of market-leading, insight-infused training solutions
• Works closely with the Professional Standards and Development Managers and Healthcare Academy Delivery Managers to ensure we design the right solutions and that the HATs deliver to the highest standards
• An authentic, highly credible and impactful Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with a passion for professional standards and professional development in a pharmacy-led retail environment
• As a key member of the Pharmacy Learning & Development team; pro-actively contributes to the wider academy agenda to support stores to receive a seamless learning experience from the different Pharmacy Learning & Development workstreams

Our Ideal Candidate
• GPhC/PSNI Registered Pharmacist or Registered Pharmacist Technician
• Relevant experience in community pharmacy, preferably with a background in people development and training
• Strong commercial awareness
• Line management experience in stores (desirable)
• Lives and breathes exceptional patient-centred care
• Excellent communicator (verbally & written)
• This is a Nottingham support office-based role, however remote working will be considered. Travel will be required for key meetings/events etc.
