Overview of the role

Loss is a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding area of the business that is constantly evolving. We work with colleagues across the support office, supply chain and stores to protect our asset’s, colleagues, customers to maximise our opportunities.

This new role has been created within the Loss function to discover, identify and understand our Internal process losses to scope out and find solutions that will reduce and mitigate the loss we incur through numerous shortcomings with our product to store journey. As a loss team we strive to continuously improve to make us more efficient and reduce loss both through external and internal influences. It first involves a discovery phase to realise and understanding where we incur loss, and then putting in place the right plan and requirements that will find a solution and deliver a loss reduction benefit. Through a thorough scoping exercise, it is expected the best and most cost effective solutions can then be found and a plan put in place to ensure this is delivered in a timely fashion and within agreed budget to meet the agreed KPI’s. The role is based in the support office

Your Responsibilities

• Work with subject matter experts to understand requirements and the benefits of finding an appropriate solution
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions
• Thoroughly investigate our store processes in order to understand real time what is seen and not seen to make recommendations for suitability based on fact and benefit
• Spend a good proportion of time in different store locations to monitor internal store process with the aim to improve, refine and become more efficient in the future
• Support your Line Manager and Project Sponsor keep projects on track through effective planning, governance and the ability to hold action owners to account for delivering on time
• Maintaining accurate and regular updates of project plan, risks and issues log and weekly RAG status update
• Ensure appropriate tracking is in place to track the success of initiatives against agreed baselines, taking action where required to re-visit solutions
• Ensure lessons learnt from project delivery are documented, and that all defects are resolved, and SOP’s are in place for new processes before transferring ownership to BAU

• Enjoys building relationships various stakeholders
• Is resourceful with the ability to retrieve and organise information from a variety of sources
• Has experience of planning projects and holding others to account for delivery
• Has the foresight to understand and anticipate risk/problems and plan action to overcome them
• Likes variety and is prepared to be flexible to the changing demands of the business
• Has excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met with the ability to prioritise without supervision
• Awareness of some upstream warehouse / logistics processes is advantageous
