Internal Communications & Engagement Assistant:

In this role you are part of the team responsible for the creation of all Internal Communication and Engagement materials for Boots Opticians Team Members and Stores. The role will also provide administrative support when developing and transitioning to digital communications channels – Teams, Yammer, Bulletins to reach more team members.

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Internal Communications & Engagement Manager, you’ll provide support to deliver communications plans for business functions and projects. You’ll also have an active role to create and deliver our weekly comms channel In the Know – newsletter to Stores, Franchise and Support Office and help to maintain and develop our existing communication channels such as the weekly huddle content, OLT Calls and feedback from Forum/Team Members

• Joint content owner for mYstorenet intranet – provide support for MSN Champions, make updates to the pages, work with support team to resolve any issues
• Provide administrative support to the Project Lead for the build of our new on SharePoint called The Hub following the tenant migration. Co-ordination of the content audit and content needed for new pages
• Joint content Owner for new digital communications channels on Teams, Yammer and our new intranet
• Creation of content and help with logistics for events such as Best of the Best, Annual Conference, Together We Win and Support Office events. Slide creation, video and design content, administration such as event set up and registration when required
• Help to manage the bo.comms mailbox – enquiries, contacts, content

About you:
Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint, Teams would be advantageous. We use Poppulo to create newsletters so previous knowledge of this tool would be helpful.
• Design skills – using Adobe Creative Suite to create campaign content, videos would be an advantage
• Great prioritization skills – working at pace in an ever-changing environment, being well organized and confident to support people at all different levels
• Innovative - Someone who can bring some fresh eyes and ideas to the table about what we could do differently and has great attention to detail
• Communications experience would be desirable but not essential – must have a passion for engagement
